Saturday night kebab lights

I continued my research on the best chicken tikka roll in India this Saturday night. A new friend led me to Arabian Delights in Defence Colony Market, which she swears by, it was closed by the time we got there; thankfully, Colonel’s Kebabs around the corner was happy for our business.
The Colonel does a decent job (see below); we devoured our food and sipped Hoegaarden illicitly in the parking lot — a great cap to the evening — but my Khan Market kebabwallah remains on top.

Today, I am thankful… to be uninsured in a country where health care isn’t a cluster

For the last two-and-a-half days, I’ve been running a fever of between 100.3 and 103.1 degrees Fahrenheit. This has been accompanied by dizziness, headache, sensitivity to light, pain behind my eyes and graphic gastrointestinal problems.
Today, I decided enough was enough (and complied with the wishes of people back home) and began to hunt for a doctor. A friend, Poh Si, recommended a GP, Dr. Gita Prakash.
Around 5 p.m., I called “Dr. Gita,” as she is known, on her cell phone, she picked up, and she told me to come by at 6:30 p.m.
Think about that statement for just a second.

I’m not kidding. I think I’ve fallen in love.

I’m not gonna lie. I have a problem. Call it an addiction. Or better yet, an obsession.
Since moving to Delhi, I have fallen, and fallen hard, for the chicken tikka roll.
Grilled skewers of marinated chicken with sliced red onions and masala wrapped in romali roti. It practically haunts my dreams.
