My mother is here in India visiting. We’re taking a little trip to Pondicherry in what was once French colonial territory until 1954. I’m also going to get in a couple days of diving. Mom may give it a shot, too.

Madagascar: French colonial with Asian flavor

Antananarivo — or just Tana — on the drive from the airport. The entire city has maintained its French colonial feel, but the people and the culture bear distince resemblance to Asia. (Thai food is popular here, for example. Mmmm… Thai.)
